On edmarom.ro, Google Maps remains disabled until you make your choice. Videos are shown as locally hosted preview images with a button that opens the original video on YouTube in a new tab. These previews do not load any YouTube player, script or cookie. Website photographs, fonts, text and documents are hosted locally and can be viewed without enabling those services. Google Analytics is disabled; the banner does not activate our own analytics or advertising tool.
1. How your choice works
“Reject optional services” keeps external maps disabled. “Accept optional services” permits Google Maps to load. You can change this choice in “Cookie settings”. Videos voluntarily opened on YouTube are subject to that website’s policies. Optional boxes are not pre-selected, and browsing or closing the window is not treated as consent. Your preference applies only to this browser and expires after 180 days.
When you withdraw consent, we remove external frames from the current page and block them from loading subsequently. Cookies already placed on Google/YouTube domains cannot be deleted directly by edmarom.ro; you can remove them in your browser settings and manage them through your Google account. Withdrawal does not automatically erase data already received by the provider.
2. Necessary storage

The hosting service uses technical protections against abuse, including Imunify360, which may display checks when suspicious traffic is detected. These are managed by the hosting provider separately from optional Google services. Contact us for details of the technical storage actually applied to your connection.
3. Optional external services
Google Maps: displays the operating site location. Provider Google Ireland Limited may receive your IP address, browser/device data and interactions and may use cookies or other storage for functionality, security, statistics and advertising. Enabling the service may involve international transfers, as described in the privacy notice.
Cookies vary depending on whether you are signed into Google, your browser and Google settings. Examples from the provider’s documentation that may be used after activation:

4. Your control
You can reopen preferences from the footer of any page. You can delete local storage and cookies in your browser; on your next visit you will choose again. If your browser does not permit saving, the choice applies only to the current page. With JavaScript disabled, external content remains blocked; you can use the links to open it separately with the provider. Contact: office@edmarom.ro.
Form security and submission records
On the public site, quotation requests, configurator requests and job applications use Cloudflare Turnstile verification before sending. The check loads at the submission step, separately from the Google Maps preference.
Cloudflare receives technical data, including IP address and browser information, for abuse prevention. Resend processes configurator message content and attachments for delivery. Quotation and careers forms use the hosting email service. Requests go to office@edmarom.ro; the configurator also sends a copy to the address supplied by the requester. Private tests send synthetic messages only to office@edmarom.ro.
Cloudflare and Resend services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Provider information and applicable safeguards are linked below; you can ask us for details at office@edmarom.ro.
First-party cookies __Host-edmarom-quote, __Host-edmarom-career and __Host-edmarom-configurator contain signed session identifiers to protect submissions. They use Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict and last at most 24 hours from issue. Their expiry does not delete server-side submission records.
The language preference is kept in sessionStorage under edmarom_language for the browser session. Before sending, the configurator stores a localStorage key edmarom-configurator-pending-v1:… containing an opaque identifier and package hash, not contact details or files. The marker is removed after confirmation or a safe rejection before dispatch; an uncertain outcome leaves it without automatic expiry to prevent resending. Contact us for reconciliation; clearing browser storage does not resolve the server-side outcome.
The server retains technical anti-abuse and duplicate-prevention records: cryptographic hashes of session, IP, request and, where applicable, destination, plus times, statuses and delivery references. These records are not copies of the message or CV and are not automatically deleted after 24 hours. They are managed through manual review and reconciliation and currently have no automatic expiry. Retention of requests, CVs and attachments in email follows the purposes and retention rules described in the privacy notice, separately from these technical records.
